Immortal mine,

I have loved you for a thousand years.

I’ve seen you leap over oceans

and wrap burning arms about the sun.

I’ve touched your skin,

Silken- scaled and shining.

I’ve kissed your mouth,

opening in an echo of endless night.

Immortal mine,

Wait for me as night falls

and I breathe my last.

I’ll follow you through forgotten galaxies,

walk besides you into the eternal.

Caught in this shroud woven by wishes

I stay in the in-between.

A veil between us.
